Our guide prices are from ¥5,000 per small tree (up to 3 m), from ¥15,000 for a medium tree (3–7 m) and from ¥30,000 for a tall tree (7–15 m), plus from ¥5,000 per light-truck load to remove and dispose of the timber. If you own the tree, you are free to cut it yourself. But every year people are hurt using a chainsaw from a ladder or misjudging the fall and hitting a house, a neighbour's property or power lines. For trees over 3 m, trees near a house or power lines, or thick trunks, please leave it to a professional.

Yes. If you want to keep the tree, we can just remove limbs (from ¥3,000 per tree) or reduce the crown (from ¥5,000 per tree) to hold its height and spread down. We climb the tree, so we can reach the upper parts a gardener cannot get to from a ladder.

Yes. Kutchan (Hirafu, Hanazono), Niseko Town, Rankoshi and the surrounding villages are in our Shiribeshi service area, about an hour's drive from our base at Lake Toya. The travel fee is included in your quote up front.

Shindome means cutting a tree's main stem part-way up to hold its height down. It improves light, reduces the risk of the tree falling and, in Hokkaido, is popular as protection against snow damage. From ¥5,000 per tree.

Yes. Trees near power or telephone lines need careful limb-by-limb work on ropes, and that is what we specialise in. If the power company needs to be contacted, we will tell you beforehand.

For a birch 7–15 m tall, the guide price is from ¥30,000. It depends on the distance from the house, nearby power lines and access for hauling, so send us photos on LINE and we will give you a proper quote.

Of course. We can remove only the fallen tree or the broken branches. Removal and disposal from ¥5,000 per light-truck load.

Yes. We collect and dispose of trunks and branches that have already been cut, and prunings too. Guide price from ¥5,000 per light-truck load. “I have cut it myself and now I don't know what to do with it” is a request we are happy to take.

As a rule, cutting overhanging branches needs the tree owner's consent (under the 2023 revision of Japan's Civil Code, the affected neighbour may cut them in certain circumstances). We do the work when asked by the owner or manager of the tree. To avoid disputes, tell us the situation on LINE first.

Yes, removing dead, leaning and hazardous trees is one of our main jobs. Left alone, a fallen tree can hit your house, a neighbour's house or a car. We carry liability insurance in case of property damage. If a tree worries you, get in touch early on LINE.
